Infinity Nikki Faces Global Community Backlash Over Region-Locked Rewards

Tension is brewing in the Infinity Nikki community as international players discover they cannot access the reward codes announced during the latest livestream. The action-adventure dress-up game, which launched in December 2024, offered codes worth 10 Revelation Crystals and 300 Diamonds – but these turned out to be exclusive to Chinese accounts.

The restriction has struck a particularly sensitive chord with the game’s global player base, as the Nikki franchise has previously faced criticism for similar regional disparities. The issue emerged just as Infold, the game’s developer, was preparing to roll out Update 1.2, which features Chinese New Year-themed content.

In response to mounting player feedback, Infold has issued a statement promising that international players will receive equivalent redemption codes in the future. The situation holds particular weight given Infinity Nikki’s successful launch, which saw revenue surpassing its predecessors Love Nikki and Shining Nikki.

The upcoming Update 1.2, scheduled for January 24, 2025, will introduce new content including a gliding outfit and a fireworks-themed ballgown dress as featured 5-star items. The update also promises quality-of-life improvements based on community feedback.

For context, Infinity Nikki operates on a gacha system where players can use Diamonds, earned through gameplay, to acquire new outfits via the Permanent or Limited Banner system. While premium outfits often offer superior stats, particularly for Mira Crown completion, the game does provide free clothing options and upgrade paths for all players.
