MySims Franchise Hints at Mysterious New Releases on EA App

EA‘s quirky life simulation series MySims might be gearing up for another revival, following an intriguing discovery on the EA app. A user browsing the online store spotted mysterious listings that suggest more entries from the franchise could be making their way to modern platforms, building on the success of last year’s MySims bundle for Nintendo Switch.

The potential new releases were uncovered by Reddit user OyeDiego, who shared screenshots of two now-removed listings on the EA app: a “MySims Action Bundle” and “MySims Beacon Bay.” While details remain scarce, community speculation suggests the Action Bundle could include modernized versions of MySims Agents and MySims SkyHeroes, two spin-off titles that departed from the series’ traditional gameplay formula.

For those unfamiliar with the franchise, MySims offers a unique twist on EA’s main Sims series. While sharing similar themes and visual style, MySims embraces a more family-friendly approach with gameplay mechanics closer to Animal Crossing, focusing on community interactions and daily activities rather than the core life simulation aspects of its parent series.

The later MySims titles took bold creative directions, with Agents incorporating detective work and story-driven missions while maintaining social elements. SkyHeroes made an even more dramatic shift, transforming into an aerial combat game with customizable aircraft. The existence of a “Beacon Bay” listing has particularly intrigued fans, as this could potentially signal the development of an entirely new entry in the series.

These developments follow the recent release of the MySims: Cozy Bundle on Nintendo Switch, which brought updated versions of MySims and MySims Kingdom to modern hardware. The collection is also scheduled for a PC release on March 18.
