Fortnite Icon Chappell Roan Has Bigger Plans for Her In-Game Presence

Pop sensation Chappell Roan isn’t content with just having her music and dance moves in Fortnite – she’s setting her sights on joining the game’s exclusive roster of character skins. The artist, who already boasts an Icon Series emote and Jam Track in the game, expressed her desire to become fully immortalized in Epic Games‘ digital universe.

During a recent BBC Radio 1 interview, Roan made her intentions clear with a playful plea: “Please give me a skin. Please.” The singer, who enjoys playing Fortnite on her Nintendo Switch, also hinted at the possibility of her hit song “Good Luck Babe!” becoming a new dance animation in the game, adding to her existing “Hot to Go” track in Fortnite Festival.

Roan’s request aligns with Fortnite’s extensive history of high-profile collaborations, following in the footsteps of music icons like Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande who have received their own in-game character models. Epic Games has consistently demonstrated its commitment to transforming Fortnite into more than just a game, establishing it as a platform for diverse entertainment experiences.

While leaks suggest additional Chappell Roan content may be in development, the timing of a potential character skin remains uncertain. Fortnite continues to expand its customization options, recently introducing “Kicks” – a new category allowing players to customize footwear for various character skins, including those of celebrities like Snoop Dogg and John Cena.

The game’s evolution continues with Chapter 6, which launched in late 2024, bringing new modes, locations, and weapons to the platform. Players can now experience the first-person tactical shooter mode Ballistic, and even encounter Godzilla roaming the game’s map. The current season, Chapter 6 Season 1, runs until February 21, 2025.
