Marvel Rivals May Feature a Surprising Ghost Rider Variant
A new leak suggests an unexpected incarnation of the Spirit of Vengeance could join the roster.
Marvel Rivals’ roster might be getting a unexpected addition to its supernatural lineup, as recent leaks point to a surprising take on the Ghost Rider character. While fans have been vocal about wanting to see the Spirit of Vengeance in the game, the version being developed isn’t the classic Johnny Blaze or even Robbie Reyes.
According to prominent leaker X0XLEAK on Twitter, Parker Robbins – better known as The Hood – is currently in development as a playable character. The leak details that this version will feature twin pistols and a demonic transformation, complete with abilities such as Dual Gun Overheat Cooling, Clone Projection, and Shield management systems.
Comic readers might recognize Robbins as the most recent incarnation of Ghost Rider, having taken on the mantle in the 2024 Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance storyline. This darker interpretation of the Spirit of Vengeance marks a significant departure from the traditional motorcycle-riding versions that have appeared in games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Marvel VS Capcom.
The timing of this potential addition aligns with broader Marvel media plans, as actor Anthony Ramos is set to portray Parker Robbins in Disney Plus’s upcoming Ironheart series. The character has already made appearances in other games, including Marvel: Contest of Champions and Marvel Snap, though this would mark his first appearance as the Spirit of Vengeance in a video game.
