Hello Kitty Universe Joins Minecraft with a Whimsical New World Experience
Sanrio’s beloved characters arrive in Minecraft with custom villages, seasonal events, and unique features.
Minecraft’s latest DLC brings the enchanting world of Hello Kitty and her beloved Sanrio companions to the popular block-building game. This collaboration marks the first time the iconic Japanese franchise, which has charmed audiences since the 1970s, enters the Minecraft universe.
The newly released Hello Kitty World introduces players to a vibrant village filled with custom-designed houses for various Sanrio characters. Hello Kitty’s residence showcases the character’s signature pink and white color scheme, while Kuromi’s dwelling offers a darker aesthetic. The village also features Cinnamoroll’s pastel-themed home, creating a diverse architectural landscape.
Players can experience dynamic seasonal changes throughout the village, participating in themed activities such as egg hunts during spring and pumpkin carving in fall. The world includes a specialized Hello Kitty shop where players can purchase unique items, while characters like Pompompurin and My Melody offer quests that reward players with valuable resources.
The DLC transforms familiar Minecraft elements with custom textures and mobs, giving a fresh appearance to standard creatures like chickens, cows, sheep, and pigs. Supporting up to four players, the world features an array of colorful furniture pieces, including balloons, playground equipment, and multicolored beehives.
Fan-favorite Sanrio characters make appearances throughout the experience, including Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, Little Twin Stars, and Tuxedo Sam. This addition joins Minecraft’s long history of collaborations, which began in 2014 with franchises like Halo, Fallout, and Mass Effect.
