PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Tiers Face Notable Game Departures

PlayStation Plus subscribers will soon see changes in their game catalog as eight titles prepare to depart from the service’s Extra and Premium tiers. The upcoming removal, scheduled for February 18, 2025, includes several significant titles that have been popular among subscribers.

Among the departing games, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition stands out as a notable loss. The catalog will also bid farewell to multiple entries from the Tales series, including Tales of Arise, Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Symphonia Remastered, and Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. Rounding out the list of departures are Outriders, Scarlet Nexus, and Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition.

PlayStation Plus Recent Additions Offset February Removals

The service recently welcomed several high-profile titles in January to help balance these upcoming removals. God of War Ragnarök led the wave of new additions, alongside Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Citizen Sleeper, and Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand. In total, subscribers gained access to 11 fresh titles.

Basic tier subscribers also received notable additions in January, with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League headlining the monthly offerings. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe complemented the selection. Unlike games in the Extra and Premium catalogs, these monthly titles remain permanently accessible to subscribers who claim them during their availability window.

This rotation of games follows January’s previous removals, which included Just Cause 3, Just Cause 4, Life is Strange, and Resident Evil 2. The PlayStation Plus service continues to evolve its catalog while maintaining its core features, including online multiplayer access for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users.
