Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Experience Expands with Fresh Map Collection

Treyarch is gearing up to enhance Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s multiplayer experience with the addition of five new maps. Since its successful October 2024 launch, the game has maintained strong momentum, earning praise for its campaign, multiplayer offerings, and round-based Zombies mode. The first season already impressed players with seven weapons and six multiplayer maps.

The upcoming Season 2 brings several exciting additions to the game. Players can look forward to exploring The Tomb, a new Zombies map that continues the story from Citadelle des Morts. The developer has also teased new weapons, including the FN FAL assault rifle and the return of the fan-favorite PPSH-41 SMG, which veterans might remember from earlier Call of Duty Zombies iterations.

A recently released 90-second trailer showcases three of the five upcoming 6v6 multiplayer maps launching with Season 2. Players will battle across Bounty, set atop a towering skyscraper, Dealership, featuring a showroom filled with luxury sports cars, and Lifeline, which appears to be a reimagined version of the beloved Black Ops 2 map Hijacked.

Black Ops 6 Mid-Season Update Promises More Classic Inspiration

Two additional maps, Bullet and Grind, are scheduled for the mid-season Reloaded update. While details about Bullet remain under wraps, Grind is anticipated to be a recreation of the popular Black Ops 2 skate park map. This addition aligns with earlier speculation about Treyarch’s plans to incorporate classic Black Ops 2 maps into the latest installment.

The second season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on January 28, bringing this substantial map expansion to the multiplayer roster. These five new 6v6 maps will significantly diversify the combat environments available to players throughout the season.
