Civilization 7 Reveals Comprehensive 2025 Content Roadmap
Firaxis Games details extensive post-launch DLC plans including major expansions and free content updates.
Firaxis Games has unveiled its post-launch content strategy for Civilization 7, outlining an extensive roadmap of updates and expansions planned throughout 2025. The announcement, detailed in a recent “Dev Diary” post, showcases both paid expansions and free content updates scheduled to begin shortly after the game’s launch.
Paid Expansions and DLC
The roadmap’s paid content begins with “Crossroads of the World,” launching in March 2025. This expansion arrives in two releases, introducing new leaders including Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar, alongside new civilizations such as Carthage, Great Britain, Bulgaria, and Nepal. The first release also adds four new Natural Wonders to the game.
Following this, the “Right to Rule” expansion will roll out between April and September, bringing two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and four World Wonders. The roadmap indicates further content planned beyond October 2025.

Free Content Updates
Alongside paid expansions, Firaxis has scheduled regular free content updates throughout the year. March introduces two new events – “Natural Wonder Battle” and “Marvelous Mountains” – plus the addition of the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest as Natural Wonders. The developer promises continued free updates, including new events and challenges, from April through September.
