Date Everything Pushes Release to June 2025 Amid Testing Challenges

Sassy Chap Games announced today that their anticipated dating simulator Date Everything will not meet its Valentine’s Day 2025 release date. Developer Ray Chase confirmed the game’s launch has been rescheduled to June 2025, citing the need for extensive testing across its numerous character routes.

The delay stems from the complexity of testing the game’s expansive content, which includes 100 dateable characters and multiple narrative branches. “The game is complete, but requires a large amount of testing and bug fixing across its multiple routes and choices,” Chase explained in a social media statement. In a lighthearted nod to the testing process, he revealed that encountered bugs would be represented in-game as a dateable character named “Daemon.”

This marks the second schedule adjustment for Date Everything, which was originally slated for October 2024 before moving to February 14, 2025. The June release window, while missing the Valentine’s Day theme, coincides with the traditional wedding season.

Date Everything distinguishes itself through its unique premise, where players can pursue romantic relationships with anthropomorphized everyday objects and concepts. The game features three possible endings – love, friendship, and hate – for each character. Voice talent includes industry veterans Laura Bailey, Ben Starr, Roger Craig Smith, and Neil Newbon.

Sassy Chap Games, led by Chase alongside developers Robbie Daymond and Amanda Hufford, continues to reveal new characters through social media campaigns, most recently through a holiday advent calendar. The development team suggests the extended timeline may allow for additional character reveals before the summer launch.
