Genshin Impact returns to Inazuma with Mikawa Festival celebration
New character Yumemizuki Mizuki debuts alongside festive events and special banner updates.
The upcoming Version 5.4 of Genshin Impact shifts its focus back to Inazuma, introducing the highly anticipated Mikawa Festival that brings together yokai and humans. The update features Yumemizuki Mizuki, who makes her entrance as Inazuma’s first Standard Banner character, alongside familiar faces including Yae Miko, Raiden, Thoma, and Yoimiya.
Mizuki emerges as a versatile addition to the roster, combining Swirl damage capabilities with healing mechanics through collectible snacks. Her distinctive passive ability enhances the benefits teammates receive from food items, with effectiveness scaling based on character Friendship levels.
The Mikawa Festival serves as the update’s centerpiece, offering players various entertainment options including a refreshed version of Akitsu Yuugei. Festival participants can earn rewards to obtain a new 4-Star Polearm, potentially hinting at the weapon preferences of future characters Varesa or Iansan.
Genshin Impact banner schedule unveils powerful character combinations
Version 5.4’s banner rotation begins with Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sigewinne in the first phase, followed by Furina and Wriothesley in the second. The latter phase proves particularly noteworthy for Wriothesley enthusiasts, featuring both his ideal teammate Furina and the coveted Splendor of Tranquil Waters sword.
While the update marks a return to Inazuma without expanding Natlan’s map, it maintains player engagement through festival activities. Notably, Mizuki’s addition to the Standard Banner has been confirmed for after Version 5.5, while the gaming community continues to discuss Natlan’s unique content distribution compared to Fontaine’s more conventional rollout. The Version 5.4 update launches on February 12, 2025.
