Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Sets Stage for Extensive Post-Launch Journey

Warhorse Studios has outlined an extensive post-launch plan for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, mapping out a year’s worth of content for their highly anticipated medieval RPG. The game, which launches on February 4, is set to receive both free updates and premium DLC packages throughout the year.

Building upon its predecessor’s foundation, the sequel boasts a significantly expanded world and an immersive narrative featuring over five hours of cinematic cutscenes. Players won’t have to wait long for additional content after release, as the developer has planned regular updates starting in spring.

The first wave of free content will introduce three major features: a challenging Hardcore Mode for seasoned players, an engaging horse racing system, and customization options through barber services. Following these additions, three premium DLC packs will roll out seasonally: “Brushes with Death” in summer, “Legacy of the Forge” in autumn, and “Mysteria Ecclesiae” in winter.

  • Spring: free updates (horse racing, barber feature, Hardcore Mode)
  • Summer: “Brushes with Death” DLC
  • Autumn: “Legacy of the Forge” DLC
  • Winter: “Mysteria Ecclesia” DLC

Players interested in accessing all upcoming content can purchase the expansion pass, which comes included with both the Gold Edition and Collector’s Edition of the game. While specific release dates for individual DLCs haven’t been announced, they are expected to launch approximately three months apart.

The game’s creative director, Daniel Vavra, has recently addressed various discussions surrounding the title’s development. He affirmed that the game maintains its commitment to historical authenticity while dismissing claims about pre-order numbers being affected by online controversies. Vavra also responded to criticism from content creators, specifically addressing accusations about the game’s direction.
