A Kidnapping in Amish Country on Lifetime: Full list of cast
Lifetime is back with another mystery thriller, A Kidnapping in Amish Country. The movie is about an Amish woman who must turn to her best friend for help after her daughter is abducted.
The movie stars Jorja Cadence as Lena, the Amish woman, who tries to reconnect with her estranged best friend Skye, played by Elise Bauman. Skye left the Amish way of life to become a social media star.
A Kidnapping in Amish Country is produced by Reel One Entertainment with Tom Berry, Suzanne Chapman, Sebastian Battro, and Taylor Warren Goff as the executive producers. Cat Hostick has directed the movie, with the script written by Taylor Warren Goff. The movie is scheduled to premiere on the Lifetime channel this weekend.

1) Jorja Cadence as Lena
Jorja Cadence is an Australian-Canadian actor who was born and raised in Byron Bay, NSW, but now spends her time between Australia and Canada. Cadence is best known for her recurring role as Cara Spader in the Paramount+ series Rabbit Hole, where she starred opposite Kiefer Sutherland and Charles Dance.
The actor also appears in season two of Netflix’s hit series Sex/Life and also as Patsy Presley in Sofia Coppola’s latest film for A24, Priscilla. Jorja Cadence has also guest starred on several acclaimed series, including Amazon’s Reacher, Hulu’s Letterkenny, and Roku/ The CW’s Children Ruin Everything.
Apart from acting, she is also a voice artist and has recorded various commercials, video games, and animated projects. She is a also budding writer who has written multiple screenplays and also has a degree in Media Arts Production from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Jorja Cadence stars in the leading role in A Kidnapping in Amish Country, as Lena, who is distraught after her daughter is abducted and she tries to reconnect with her best friend who is the only person who can help her.
2) Elise Bauman as Skye
Elise Bauman is a Canadian actor, director, filmmaker, and singer who is best known for portraying the role of Laura Hollis, the lead character of the web series Carmilla (2014–2016). Bauman is a graduate of Circle In The Square Theatre School and identifies as a queer actor.
She has appeared as a series regular in CBC’s workplace comedy One More Time (2024) as the Olympic hopeful athlete Jen Hauser. Bauman has also starred in Lifetime’s first lesbian holiday movie Under The Christmas Tree, and other projects like Workin’ Moms on CBC, Letterkenny on Hulu, Jane on Apple TV, Skymed on Paramount+, and Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities on Netflix.
In 2018 Elise Bauman won the Audience Choice Award at the Canadian Screen Awards. She has been cast as Skye, Lena’s estranged best friend whom she approaches for help to find her abducted daughter, on Lifetime’s A Kidnapping in Amish Country.
