More about Marlon Brando’s biopic Waltzing with Brando
Waltzing with Brando is a biographical movie directed by Bill Fishman. An ambitious project from the start, the movie is reportedly set during Brando’s later part of the career, primarily following the period between 1969 and 1974.
It will follow Brando’s attempts at preparing for The Godfather and Last Tango in Paris and his plans with Bernard Judge to create a paradise getaway on Tahiti. The film is also based on Bernard Judge’s memoir about this project and Brando’s life.
Most of the film is reportedly shot on Tetiaroa, the island where Marlon Brando and Bernard Judge spent a long time trying to create a sustainable retreat.
The film will also be Billy Zane’s first big project in a long time, perhaps positively affecting his reputation as well.
The film is set to premiere at Italy’s Torino Film Festival this year. Stay tuned for more updates.
