Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s potential return to WWE has been a subject of intense speculation, particularly in light of recent developments within The Bloodline. However, contrary to expectations, his comeback may not involve a face-off with his cousin, Roman Reigns.

The Rock’s return could instead see him confronting Grayson Waller. This speculation has been fueled by a recent Twitter exchange between Waller and The Rock, which began when Waller criticized The Rock’s debut attire from Survivor Series 1996. Despite receiving a fitting response from The Rock, Waller continued his trash talk.

Waller, known as the ‘Aussie Icon’, further escalated the situation by posting a video message inviting The Rock to be a guest on the Grayson Waller Effect. The invitation, far from being a sign of respect, was a mockery of Johnson’s recent box office performance.

The Twitter feud spilled onto television during the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, where Waller once again ridiculed The Rock. This continuous mockery could potentially provoke The Rock to make a return at SummerSlam and accept Waller’s invitation to appear on the Grayson Waller Effect.

This scenario would not only limit physicality but also provide The Rock with a significant platform to engage in a verbal duel with a heel character.

The Rock’s last WWE appearance was on the 20th Anniversary episode of SmackDown on October 4, 2019. It was his first WWE appearance since April 2016 and his first SmackDown appearance since October 2014.
