Wuthering Waves is set to introduce a significant expansion to its endgame content through a new permanent game mode called “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways.” The feature, scheduled for Version 2.1 in mid-February, will implement a weekly reset system offering fresh challenges and rewards for players.
The information comes from reliable leaker Sleep, who detailed the mechanics of the new system. Players will navigate through various “gates,” each presenting unique challenges and buff combinations. The system allows participants to accumulate up to 6,000 “Illusive Points” through successful completions.
According to an earlier leak, the reward structure includes up to 160 weekly Astrites per gate for players who reach 5,000 points. The system incorporates a character bonus feature, where specific characters can provide a 150% point bonus during designated cycles. Additional rewards include EXP materials and Shell Credits, though claiming these rewards will require 60 Waveplates.
This addition addresses player feedback regarding limited endgame options in Wuthering Waves, which currently offers only the Tower of Adversity and one-time Tactical Hologram: Calamity challenges. The new mode represents Kuro Games’ continued efforts to enhance the endgame experience, following their pattern of implementing player-requested features.
The Version 2.1 update will also introduce two new 5-Star characters, Phoebe and Brant, alongside the anticipated Echo presets feature. Phoebe will join as a Spectro Rectifier unit, while Brant will expand the roster as a Fusion Sword character.
