Wuthering Waves Unveils ‘Whimpering Wastes’ Weekly Challenge System
New permanent endgame mode introduces weekly reset challenges for advanced players.
Kuro Games has announced “Whimpering Wastes,” a new permanent endgame mode for Wuthering Waves, scheduled to launch with Version 2.1 in mid-February. The addition responds to player demands for more challenging content in the action RPG.
The new mode features a three-stage structure, with two stages offering periodic resets and rewards. According to information shared by leaker Sleep, players can earn up to 800 Astrites through completing these challenges, potentially streamlining the resource farming process.
To accommodate the new feature, Kuro Games has adjusted the Tower of Adversity: Hazard Zone schedule. The typically bi-weekly reset will extend to a full month, running from February 3 to March 3. Whether this schedule modification represents a permanent change remains unconfirmed by developers.
The announcement comes shortly after Version 2.0’s Rinascita update, which introduced a new explorable nation and two five-star Resonators. Version 2.1 will expand the game further with additional playable characters, including new Rinascita characters and potentially the first playable element kit for the main character Rover.
