A significant leak from Zenless Zone Zero has unveiled a new enemy called Thanatos, scheduled to appear in the game’s Version 1.6 update. The leaked information, shared through the game’s leak community, reveals an adversary featuring a distinctive golden mask and structural similarities to the game’s powerful Ethereal enemies.

The mysterious Thanatos stands out with its human-like features beneath the mask, including white hair and green eyes, bearing a notable resemblance to the existing character Anby. This design has sparked discussions about potential story connections between the new enemy and the Cunning Hares faction member.

Version 1.6 Update Details

The introduction of Thanatos is part of a broader Version 1.6 update, scheduled for release on March 13. HoYoverse, the game’s developer, has already confirmed several additions to the roster, including the game’s first character variant, Silver Soldier Anby, alongside new characters Pulchra and Trigger.

The update appears to focus on expanding the game’s faction-based narrative, particularly around the Obol Squad.
