Remedy Entertainment has released the first PC update of 2025 for Alan Wake 2, introducing substantial graphics improvements and new features. The update, launched on January 30, focuses on enhancing performance and visual quality, particularly for users of Nvidia‘s latest RTX 50 Series graphics cards.
The update’s primary feature is the implementation of DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation technology. This advancement enables players with RTX 50 Series cards to achieve frame rates exceeding 230fps at 4K resolution while maintaining maximum graphics and ray tracing settings. The integration marks Alan Wake 2 as one of 75 games supporting this new Nvidia technology.
Enhanced Features for All RTX Users
The benefits extend beyond RTX 50 Series owners, as the update introduces improvements for all Nvidia RTX graphics card users. Remedy has implemented RTX Mega Geometry technology, which accelerates BVH construction and allows for up to 100 times more ray-traced triangles in complex scenes.
Additional enhancements include an upgraded DLSS AI model and a new Ultra Ray Tracing preset. These improvements deliver enhanced visual fidelity through fully ray-traced reflections, including transparent surfaces, and higher-quality indirect lighting.
