Epic Games has unveiled the upcoming cosmetic lineup for Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 2, showcasing redesigned versions of three fan-favorite skins from the game’s early days. The new season, scheduled to launch on January 31, will feature updated interpretations of Sparkle Specialist, Cuddle Team Leader, and Black Knight as part of the OG Pass.
The announcement arrived through a 29-second trailer, highlighting the modernized takes on these classic character designs. While Sparkle Specialist and Black Knight were original Battle Pass skins from Chapter 1 Season 2, Cuddle Team Leader, despite not being part of the initial season’s lineup, earned its place in the new pass due to its iconic status within the Fortnite community.
The reveal comes as Fortnite OG continues to build on the success of its first season, which began on December 6. This game mode has proven particularly popular among long-time players, offering a return to the original Athena Island map and classic gameplay elements that defined Fortnite’s early success.
Launch Schedule
Players can access the new content following a scheduled maintenance period, with server downtime beginning on January 31 at 4 AM ET. Matchmaking will be disabled approximately 30 minutes before the maintenance starts. Epic Games has not specified the exact duration of the downtime or the precise launch timing for the new season.
