McDonald’s Happy Meals Set to Welcome Back Pokemon Trading Cards in Special Promotion
Fast-food giant partners with Pokemon for an exciting card collection event at US locations.
McDonald’s is gearing up for another exciting Pokemon trading card promotion through its Happy Meals, continuing its longstanding partnership with the beloved franchise. The upcoming event will bring a fresh collection of Pokemon cards to US restaurants, offering fans a new opportunity to expand their collections.
The promotion will run from January 21 to February 24 in US locations, featuring specially designed Happy Meal boxes showcasing popular Pokemon like Charizard, Dragonite, Rayquaza, and Roaring Moon. Each Happy Meal comes with a 4-card booster pack, along with bonus items including a poster and stickers.
This year’s collection features 15 unique cards, with seven of them being special holo variants. The complete set includes fan favorites such as Pikachu, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s legendary creatures Miraidon and Koraidon, and various dragon-type Pokemon. Each pack guarantees at least one holo card, adding extra excitement to the collecting experience.
The partnership between McDonald’s and Pokemon extends beyond the trading cards. Pokemon GO players can currently benefit from sponsored PokeStops and gyms at McDonald’s locations, with special five-star Raid Battles scheduled from January 20 to January 26.
Here’s the complete list of available cards in this promotion:
- Regular cards: Charizard, Jigglypuff, Hatenna, Dragapult, Quagsire, Umbreon, Eevee
- Holo cards: Pikachu, Miraidon, Koraidon, Hydreigon, Roaring Moon, Dragonite, Rayquaza, Drampa
Based on previous McDonald’s Pokemon promotions, card supplies typically run out quickly. Recent Pokemon TCG releases have sparked high demand, as evidenced by the reported crowd control issues at certain retail locations.
